Do I have to read the whole Texas handbook to pass the test?
The TX DPS test has 30 questions and you need 24 correct (80%) to pass. All questions come from the handbook, but strategic readers focus on Signs, Right-of-Way, and Signaling first — those chapters carry the most test weight.
Should I read the Texas handbook as a PDF or HTML?
PDF preserves the state's page layout and images; HTML is faster on mobile and searchable via Ctrl-F. Most students find HTML best for study, PDF best for a final read-through before test day.
