Appointments: Yes — appointment required at a Driver License office, scheduled through dldapply.ps.utah.gov.

Renewing Your License in Utah
Utah licenses are valid for 8 years and a standard renewal costs $52. Eligible if you receive a renewal letter with PIN (mailed 90 days before expiration). Ineligible if you have citations, suspensions/revocations, renewed online previously, license expired over one year ago, medical impairment indicators, or out-of-state holds.
When to renew: Up to 6 months before expiration
Skip the trip if you can — many renewals can be completed online. See our step-by-step UT renewal guide for eligibility, REAL ID upgrades, and vision-test rules.
